Spark of Hope #16 – My Anchors

Spark of Hope #16 – This morning, the fog over the Bayou was so thick that it looked like a cloud of smoke. Although I knew the dock was there, it was virtually invisible to my eyes. Like an anchor of hope, the dock provides a refuge to ponder life. This first week of my New Year has been filled with annoyances that left me feeling restless and overwhelmed. I pondered, prayed, and sought refuge—but I still wasn’t seeing the dock clearly. I needed someone else’s anchor of hope to put things in perspective for me. In two separate conversations this afternoon, I heard HOPEful words through my husband and my son. Then I looked out the window and saw that the sun had burned off the fog, and the dock was visible. I teared up, feeling grateful that I could see HOPE again. When you can’t see the dock, family is a beautiful reminder that Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

Family is a beautiful anchor of Hope!

Hope is like a spark; if the conditions are right, it can spread like wildfire. Hope feeds the soul, ignites passion, and inspires others. Tucked inside each of us is a child-like spark that says: never forget to dream, play and imagine. HOPE is the extraordinary spark that says Huge Outcomes are Possible Everyday!

  1. I love this. It so demonstrates that even when our lives are full of HOPE with promises of a bright future we can still feel a little discombobulated at times and need a little encouragement from those we love! Thank you for sharing a little vulnerability!
